Privacy policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy explains what personal data this website, klaimcontrol.com, processes, why, and what rights you have. It covers the website only. The Klaim product is covered by the agreement with each customer.

Who we are

Klaim BV, Zeestraat 70, Den Haag, the Netherlands, is responsible for the personal data described here.

Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: to follow.

How to reach us

For questions about this policy or about your data, email hello@klaimcontrol.com.

What we collect

Only what you send us through the contact form: your name, work email address and company, and, if you give them, your role, the topic and products you chose, and your message, together with the language of the page you used. We ask you not to include claimant data or claim documents. If you request the white paper, we receive your first and last name, your work email address and, if you give it, your company, together with whether you ticked the box for updates.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how you use the site, as described under Cookies and analytics below. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, which can include your IP address, to run and secure the site.

Cookies and analytics

With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use it: which pages are viewed and for how long, from which country and on what kind of device, and which site referred you. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_3B9Z4F2J2Y for this, which last up to two years. We do not use it for advertising. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

Nothing from Google loads until you press Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time under Cookie Settings at the foot of every page, and declining deletes the Google Analytics cookies. Your choice itself is kept in your browser, not in a cookie.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and follow up on it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Where you ask about becoming a customer, it is also a step you asked us to take before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). If you request the white paper, we use your details to send it to you. Only if you ticked the box for updates do we also send you occasional news about Klaim. The legal basis for those updates is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by emailing hello@klaimcontrol.com. Giving us your details is voluntary, but without them we cannot reply to you or send you the white paper. We do not make automated decisions about you.

Who receives it

Your enquiry reaches our team as an email. Service providers process data on our behalf: Vercel, which hosts this website in its Frankfurt region; Scaleway, a French company that sends the email from Paris and keeps its records in France; and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Limited, which provides Google Analytics. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.

Where it is processed

Your data is processed in the European Union. Vercel is a company based in the United States, so access from outside the EU cannot be ruled out for the hosting. Any such transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in Vercel’s data processing agreement. Google may process Google Analytics data in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which such transfers rely on.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for twelve months after our last contact with you and then delete them. If your enquiry leads to a customer relationship, the terms of that relationship apply instead. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by the hosting provider. Google Analytics keeps usage data for 14 months. White paper requests are kept on the same terms. If you opted in to updates, we keep your details for them until you withdraw your consent.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or give it to you in a portable form, and you can object to how we use it. Email hello@klaimcontrol.com and we will respond within one month.

You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
